Academic Advisor
Provides academic guidance to student athletes. She assists students in understanding and complying with University, College, and NCAA rules, choosing courses and majors, developing time management skills, and resolving personal and academic issues.
Advising Sport Focus
Men's and Women's Gymnastics, Men's Crew, and Softball.
Background
After earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, she went on to earn her master’s in Counseling from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. While at Northern Arizona University, she began working as an Academic Advisor in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and later continued working with student athletes in Intercollegiate Athletics serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics. In 2006, Apryl returned to California and began her career at Cal as an Academic Advisor in the College of Letters and Science, Office of Undergraduate Advising. She began working at the Athletic Study Center in August 2008.
