Advising Coordinator

Courtney is one of two advisors who help to coordinate the Advising Program.  She reviews and assists the advisors for the Revenue Sports of Football, Men's & Women's Basketball, and Volleyball.

Academic Advisor

Provides academic guidance to student athletes. She assists students in understanding and complying with University, College, and NCAA rules, choosing courses and majors, developing time management skills, and resolving personal and academic issues.

Advising Sport Focus

Field Hockey, Rugby, Men's Soccer & Women's Soccer.

Background

Courtney is a Cal graduate and former student athlete. She competed as a member of the women's field hockey team from 1993-1996. She was the head manager for the CAL football team (the first female head manager for a Pacific 10 Conference football team) from 1997-2000. She earned her B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary studies (1997) and her M.A. degree in Education in the Athletes and Academic Achievement Program (1999). She got accepted to the Ph.D Program in Education at CAL but postponed it to pursue her career as an Academic Athletic Advisor. Courtney, her husband Scott and son Brady reside in Concord.
