Advising Coordinator
Melanie is one of two Advising Coordinators in the Advising Program. She reviews and assists the advisors for all sports, except Football, Basketball, and Volleyball.
Academic Advisor
Provides academic guidance to student athletes. She assists students in understanding and complying with University, College, and NCAA rules, choosing courses and majors, developing time management skills, and resolving personal and academic issues.

Women's Crew, Men's & Women's Cross Country, Men's & Women's Track and Field.
Background
Melanie was born and raised in South Africa. She graduated from Cal in 1993 with a double major in Political Science and Mass Communications. Melanie lives in the East Bay with her husband and two children. Prior to her role in the Advising Program, Melanie coordinated the Tutorial Program for the Athletic Study Center for approximately 10 years.
